CalHOPE Crisis Counseling

The Behavioral Health Initiative Program in collaboration with the Cal Hope grant are able to provide resource navigation (housing, employment) and non-clinical mental health support to refugee communities in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our trained bilingual support specialists, assist our community members one-on-one or in groups providing community education, behavioral health training, mental health support and participating in outreach events. We delivery these services via telehealth and in person.  Our support specialists speak: Amharic, Arabic, Burmese, Dinka, English, Dari, Farsi, French, Haitian Creole, Karen, Kizigua, Kirundi, Kurdish, Nuer, Oromo, Pashto, Somali, Swahili and Tigrinya.

Community members can speak directly and anonymously with Community Support Navigators to get help by calling 1-888-222-0980 and listening for their language.
